Artemis™ Free-Space Optical Last Mile Solution

Free-space Optical (FSO) technology uses a series of secure wireless light communication devices that transmit light through the air as compared to fiber optic cable systems that transmit light through glass strands in a cable.

Our Artemis™ Free-space Optical last-mile solution consists of two free space optical antennas, one on each end of the link. Each optical antenna is connected by a patented power-over-fiber cable to the wireless light communication indoor unit that contains the transceiver electronics. The indoor unit is then connected to the end user network. The service can be configured to support up to 1 Gbps full duplex connections.

For mobile applications, the Artemis™ platform can be deployed and linked directly to an Radio Frequency (RF) communication transmission source such as a Cellular transmission tower or a mobile satellite truck (SNG). The solution can also be deployed with in an arena, stadium or campus environment with relative ease.

The Mesh Networks' Artemis™ Free-space Optics technology has demonstrated availabilities of 99.999% equaling the level of ground-based fiber optic cabling.
